As you know, I like taking cupcake flavors to unexpected (often alcoholic) places, and the book Ice Cream Happy Hour does the same thing for ice cream. In fact, many of the boozy cupcakes I have created mirror the ice cream flavors that are found in this book. Here's a list of some of my cupcakes that have related ice cream recipes in Ice Cream Happy Hour:
- Eggnog cupcakes
- Pina Colada cupcakes
- Margarita cupcakes
- Mojito cupcakes
- Mimosa cupcakes
- Mudslide cupcakes
- Hot buttered rum cupcakes
Lucky for you, you've got a chance to win Ice Cream Happy Hour and give the recipes a try yourself. As a bonus (read this in your best infomercial voice), the winner will receive a set of 20 totally adorable ice cream spoons from Sucre and Spice - in any style that you like!

ReplyDeleteI'm a beer drinker, through and through! But not sure how that would translate into a cupcake?!
ReplyDeleteBrett: brettntrish@hotmail.com
I put liquor in my ice cream all the time; I find it helps keep it from turning into a solid frozen mass (it's vegan ice cream so the freezing properties are a bit different). I've made coconut ice cream with rum, maple and molasses rum ice cream, brandy and chai ice cream, white russian ice cream and probably some others that I can't think of at the moment. I haven't tried putting beer in it though, maybe there's some chocolate Guinness ice cream in my future...
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite drink is an Amaretto Sour. I bet that would make a delicious ice cream!
